Position Available: Boat Assistants

Job Type: Part-Time / Seasonal

Are you ready to dive into the world of watersports and outdoor activities? We are looking for dynamic, energetic Boat Assistants to join our team for the upcoming season!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry various types of boats, including kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs) from storage to the bank.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment is in good condition.
  • Assist customers with boarding and disembarking from boats, ensuring their safety and providing a friendly, supportive experience.
  • Offer basic paddling tips and guidance to enhance guest enjoyment and safety on the water.
  • Manage equipment inventory to ensure availability and readiness for use.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Physically fit and strong; capable of lifting and carrying heavy equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills; must be able to provide clear and friendly guidance to our guests.
  • Enthusiastic about working outdoors.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role is a bonus, but not essential.

Position Available: Kitchen Porters

Job Type: Part-Time

About the Role:
We’re searching for a motivated and energetic Kitchen Porter to support our kitchen staff. Ideal for students, this part-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the chef with basic food preparation tasks.
  • Keep the kitchen area clean and organised.
  • Handle washing up and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Support the smooth operation of the kitchen with various tasks as needed.


  • Minimum age of 15 years.
  • Commitment to hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • No previous experience necessary, but a keen interest in learning culinary skills is a plus!

Position Available: Chef de Partie / Junior Sous Chef

Job Type: Flexible – Full-time or Part-time and temporary or long term considered.

We are looking for Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef to work alongside our Head Chef and kitchen team. If you have great attention to detail, experience of working in a high volume kitchen and are a team player then we’d love to hear from you.

We pride ourselves on the food we serve and as an employer we truly believe in creating a great work/life balance so NO split shifts in our kitchen, mainly daytime hours and fantastic holiday allowance.

Job Description:
Chef de Partie / Junior Sous Chef for an established family run business set in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Kent and East Sussex Border.

Set in an idyllic riverside location, only a few miles from beautiful Rye and the coast, we are looking for the right chef to take the next step in their career. You will have experience of working in a professional kitchen and be focused on delivering exceptional meals, whilst also helping to ensure the business remains profitable. Your main duties will include prep, assisting in service, following kitchen cleaning rotas and helping to supervise junior members of the team.

Minimum Requirement:
At least 1 year experience in a professional kitchen.
Ability to keep cool under pressure.
Clean tidy & presentable
A great sense of Humour
